Cookies and local storage

Cookies are small pieces of information a website stores in your browser and may receive with later requests. Local storage is another browser facility that can keep data for the same website. Session storage usually lasts for the browsing session. These technologies have different purposes and do not all contain the same information.

This page describes the JS Supply theme’s own features and the Shopify preference controls. Actual Shopify cookies, retention periods and additional tracking depend on the connected store and services enabled. Review Privacy policy for information submitted in orders or enquiries.

Essential storefront functions

Shopify and payment services use technologies needed to maintain a basket or checkout session, protect security, manage authentication and remember applicable privacy choices. Preventing all cookies can interfere with these functions. Optional analytics or advertising is different from information necessary to process an order you request.

Essential functions are not all disabled by the controls below. Your browser can block or remove site data, but doing so may sign you out, reset a basket or require privacy choices to be made again.

What JS Supply saves on this device

  • Saved products and room ideas: the identifiers of pieces or plans you choose to save.
  • Deferred bag pieces: variants, quantities and relevant line details saved when you choose to take only part of a bag to checkout.
  • Local product preferences: a limited history of product/category interactions and search-related features used by the theme’s local preference logic.

These records are associated with this website in this browser. They are not automatically a cross-device wishlist or a customer-account order. Theme-local records have no fixed automatic expiry and can remain until cleared, overwritten or removed by the browser.

Local preferences and resets

The device controls below let you switch local product-preference recording off and clear the existing preference history. Saving that choice does not remove products you deliberately added to your saved list or an active Shopify cart.

You can separately clear saved products and deferred pieces from this device. This removes local records only: it does not cancel an order, refund a payment or delete a basket or account held by Shopify. Keep a copy of anything you want before clearing your local list.

Analytics, advertising and optional services

Optional analytics may help measure how a storefront is used; advertising tools may support attribution or tailored advertising. Such tools and their purposes must be identified for the actual store before they are enabled. This theme does not establish that every possible app or advertising provider is in use.

The Shopify controls communicate your preferences to Shopify and integrations that honour its consent signals. The merchant must configure installed tools correctly; a checkbox does not itself prove that every third-party script respects a choice. Contact us if you need clarification about a particular provider or notice unexpected tracking.

Managing Shopify choices

Use the Shopify preference form below to allow or refuse the optional categories shown. You can return and change your choices. If the controls are unavailable or report a failure, do not assume the change was saved. Refresh and try again, or contact us for assistance.

These controls become active on the connected Shopify storefront. They are separate from the local device controls and from email or SMS unsubscribe choices. To stop marketing messages, use their unsubscribe option or contact us.

Browser controls and other devices

Use your browser’s privacy settings to inspect cookies and site storage, block selected technologies or delete stored data. In a shared device or private browsing session, saved choices may be lost or visible to another person using the same browser profile. Blocking storage can prevent the theme from remembering lists and preferences.

Manage each browser and device you use. Clearing site data removes the record of some previous choices; you may need to set them again on your next visit.

Questions and policy changes

Contact JS Supply to ask about storage or a service used for your interaction. Include the page and browser if you are reporting a technical issue, but do not send passwords or full payment details. For privacy concerns and access requests, use the process in our Privacy policy.

We review this notice when local storage features or enabled services change. The review date is shown above.

Your local product preferences are separate from Shopify cookies. Turning recording off also clears the existing local preference history.

Removes these lists from this browser only. Does not cancel orders or empty your Shopify cart.
